Our privacy policy is pretty straight forward. In simple terms:

  • We only collect data you give to us in order to complete a purchase transaction, or when you sign up for our newsletter or a class.

  • We keep your information (name, address, phone number, email address, and purchase history) in order to better serve you.

  • We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any other company or organization except: as needed to complete a purchase transaction, to provide warranty service when you have a warranty claim, or as may be required by law or by court order.

  • Email us at "info@sonshinegrains.com" to opt out or to have us remove your customer information.

In somewhat longer, but hopefully still pretty straight forward terms:

  • We collect your personally identifiable information when you:
    - check out in the shopping cart,
    - call us to submit and/or pay for an order,
    - fill out your information on sales receipt when purchasing in person,
    - when you pay by check
    - when you signup for a class,
    - we also collect and save your email address when you signup for our newsletter (no other information is needed in order to sign up for our newsletter).

  • Our shopping cart is provided by Cornerstone Payment Systems in conjunction with Sage payments processing network. When you provide your payment information to the online shopping cart, or when you provide credit card to us for payment (in person or over the phone), the information is provided to Sage payment network in order to complete the purchase transaction. For online purchases, Sage may also collect your IP address in order to help combat fraud. Conerstone and Sage comply with all PCI DSS requirements.

  • Sonshine Acres Grains & Goods (dba: Sonshine Kitchen Store) does not keep your credit card details.  Future purchases will require you to submit credit card number again.

  • However, we do keep your name, address, phone number, and email address that you provided to us (as described above) in order to be able to provide warranty service and returns, to expedite future orders, for any communications regarding products you have purchased, and other product and promotional information. We may also use this information in future loyalty based promotions (i.e. special deals reserved for our customers).

  • We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any other company or organization except: as needed to complete a purchase transaction, to provide warranty service when you have a warranty claim, or as may be required by law or by court order.

  • Sonshine Acres Grains & Goods (dba: Sonshine Kitchen Store) urges everyone to be careful with their credit and debit cards when shopping online. Never send credit or debit card account information in an email. Always make sure to check for the "s" in the "https" in the address field and the lock symbol on your browser when submitting private data.

Email Opt-In and Opt-Out:

  • Our newsletter and general promotional emails are infrequent. At this point our newsletters are about once per quarter (or less) and while we may increase this, it will never be more than 1 per month. If we have more to say, we will start a blog and/or use other social media communications which will require you to opt-in. Similarly, our promotional emails will not be more than once per month. We will have unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of our email newsletters and promotional emails.

  • If you would like to sign up for our newsletter and email promotions, send email to "info@sonshinegrains.com" with "subscribe" in the subject line. Or click on the "Join Sonshine Acres Mailing List" on our home page or on the "Contact Us" page.

  • If you would prefer to receive our newsletter via US Mail instead of email, please send us an email at "info@sonshinegrains.com" or call us at 719-852-7388.

  • If we have both email address and US Mail address for you, you will receive our newsletter via email only. If we only have US Mail address, we will send occasional newsletter (no more than once per month, and likely not more than once per quarter) to your US Mail address.

  • If you would like to remove your email address from our newsletter and/or promotions, please send email to "info@sonshinegrains.com" with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line, and in the body of the email, let us know what you are unsubscribing from (newsletter and/or promotional emails). If you send an "unsubscribe" email and do not say what you are unsubscribing from, we will assume you want to unsubscribe from the newsletter only.

  • If you would like us to remove your phone number and/or address from our customer database, please send an email to "info@sonshinegrains.com" with the word "REMOVE" in the subject line and explain what information you would like us to remove from our database. NOTE: If we remove you from our customer database, we may not be able to provide you with warranty support even for products you purchased from us.
