Shipping Rates & Sales Tax

Shipping Rates

  • Shipping & handling charges, within continental USA (excluding Pressure Canner/Cookers, Pressure Cookers, special orders and bulk foods):
    FREE SHIPPING on Orders over $100.00 (exclusions apply, see surcharges & exceptions below)
    - Orders under $20.00, shipping & handling is $10.00
             - Orders between $20.00 - $49.99, shipping & handling is $15.00
    - Orders between $50.00 - $99.99, shipping & handling is $20.00

Shipping Surcharges & Exceptions:

  • All-American Pressure Canner/Cookers: Shipping is $25 per unit. 
  • Chef's Design Pressure Cookers: Shipping is $20 per unit.
  • B/R/K Pressure Cooking Sets: Shipping is $25 per set.
  • Other items ordered at the same time as any of the above ship for free.

  • Grains and other bulk foods: Due to weight and packaging, we do not ship these products at this time. Please check back from time to time as we may add this service at a later date.

  • At this time, most produc ts only ship within the continental USA. We can ship some products to Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada, however there may be additional shipping charges. Please email or phone in order so that we can provide you with availability and shipping charges.

Sales Tax:

  • Sales Tax is added for orders shipped within Colorado:
    - Goods (non-food items) shipped within Rio Grande County will be taxed at 5.5%.
    - Goods shipped to other Colorado Counties will be taxed at 2.9%.
    - Food items shipped within Rio Grande County will be taxed at 2.6%.
    - Food items shipped to other Colorado Counties are not taxed (exempt from CO tax).
    - No sales tax on orders shipped outside of Colorado.

Other Shipping Information:

  • In-stock items will generally ship within 2 business days of order. Out of stock and special order items will generally ship within 7 - 10 business days. If your order contains both, we may hold and ship the entire order together, or we may ship in multiple sets. If we are unable to ship all items within 7 - 10 business days, we will email or call you to determine how you want your order processed.

  • All shipping is standard ground-type service. If you need your order shipped priority or express to arrive by a particular date, there will be an additional charge.  Please call so that we can ensure items are available for immediate shipping and to arrange payment.

  • Items picked up at our location (4976 E County RD 3 S, Monte Vista) have no shipping charge, except for special orders. If you will pick up your order, or if you want it delivered to Monte Vista, Alamosa, or nearby surrounding area, please order by phone so you are not charged for shipping.

  • We generally ship via USPS, although we may sometimes ship via UPS or FedEX.

  • Special order items are items that we do not regularly stock but which we can obtain and provide to our customers. Most replacement parts fall into this category. Special order items cannot be purchased directly on our website (there is no “add to cart” button for these), so you will need to call us so we can ensure timely availability. Special order items may incur additional shipping charges.

  • Shipping rates and shipping policy are subject to change. All such changes will be posted on our “Shipping Rates and Sales Tax” policy page.
